Every day traders on IronTrade face complex trading challenges. We have noticed that in addition to this, traders report scam attempts.

Here we will describe the most popular tricks that attackers use.

Pretending to be an IronTrade employee.

Some people write direct messages on social media and on other websites on behalf of IronTrade employees. Mainly they ask for money to be sent directly to them in exchange for some trading benefits.

How to know if it is a real IronTrade employee or not? If you are approached by somebody on Facebook/Whatsapp/Telegram or other messengers, then it is definitely NOT IronTrade staff. We never request any actions, especially regarding money transfers to personal wallets. IronTrade staff will never contact you via messengers promising successful secret strategies or offering some services. Do not talk to strangers because it may be dangerous! What to do? Just ignore them and send them to a block list.

If you’ve received an email or phone call and are unsure if it is real IronTrade, you can always ask to call back later and contact our support to clarify. If it is indeed our staff, our support will confirm it.

How to not get scammed?

Well… there is no way to avoid this. Just remember: if smth sounds too good to be true, then most probably it is not.

Do not tell any details about your trading account to anyone. And what is more important – never give access to your trading account to other people. IronTrade staff will never ask for passwords. Do not send money directly to electronic wallets. You can make a deposit to IronTrade only by using IronTrade’s website. For the safety of your funds, there is simply no other way to deposit money. Finally, keep in mind that using 3rd party services for trading is prohibited on IronTrade. So, even if you give access to your account to someone, you may get blocked because of a violation of rules. You can unblock your account only via our support team via email. If someone offers you unblocking services, then it is also a scam.

Another thing is phone calls. Sometimes we may call our clients, but in general, we may only ask about your trading experience. IronTrade will never force you to make deposits or beg money. If you are not sure with whom you are talking, ask the caller to call back later. Our staff will be happy to set a convenient time to call you back later.
Meanwhile, you can send us an email asking for confirmation.

Heard something, say something!

If you were approached by a scammer, you could report it to our support team. You can attach screenshots of its messages, links to accounts, and so on. We will check them.

To sum it up, please remember that while we try hard to keep our clients away from scammers, it is the clients’ responsibility to protect their credentials used to access the IronTrade platform. Each trader should take care of his account and be responsible for his trading balance.
